Bed facing open sliding doors onto a timber verandah with rainforest beyond

The Verandah Room

28 m² · king · verandah doors

Doors on two walls, so the room runs cross-wise to the breeze. Louvres above the bedhead stay open through the night in the dry season.

A desk, a reading chair, a ceiling fan on a slow setting, and the verandah rail close enough to put a cup on.

A carved timber bedhead against a panelled wall, lamps lit on both sides

The Cedar Suite

38 m² · king · sitting room

The bedhead and the wardrobe doors were cut by a joiner in Mossman and have been in the house since the second extension.

A separate sitting room with two chairs and a low table, and the bathroom behind the panelling, entered from the room itself.

A long room with a pale ceiling, tall dark doors and a gold bedcover

The Long Room

34 m² · king or twin · tall doors

The tall doors fold right back, which is how the room gets its name and most of its air.

Made up as a king or as two singles, with a daybed under the end window that sleeps a third guest.

An upper room with a gold bedcover and glass doors open to green canopy

The Canopy Room

26 m² · queen · rainforest side

Top of the house on the rainforest side. The green starts about four metres from the rail and keeps going.

It's the smallest of the four and the quietest, since nothing on that side faces the street.
