What the house has, and the hours it has it
A short list, because the house is small and most of what it offers is the building itself.
Reception
Staffed 6:30 to 23:00
Someone is on the desk from before breakfast until after the bar closes. Outside those hours there is a night bell that rings in the manager's flat.
The plunge pool
Open until 21:00
Four strokes long, cold, unsupervised, under the mango tree in the side garden.
Reef and river desk
Mornings only
We book the boats but don't run them. The desk opens with breakfast, and the morning sailings fill by eight.
Bicycles
Six, free to guests
Six bicycles live in the side shed, each with a basket and no gears, which suits the town.
Parking
Nine spaces
Nine spaces off Davidson Street, first come. The street itself is unrestricted after six.
Laundry
Daily except Sunday
Left at the desk before nine comes back the same evening. There is also a machine guests can use in the courtyard.
Step-free rooms
Two on the ground floor
Level access from the side path, a step-free bathroom and a wider door. The gaming room and the dining room are both on the same level.
The sitting room
Off the lobby
The one television in the house, a shelf of paperbacks left by guests, and the only power points in a public room.
